During his reception on Wednesday for Mr. Hong Joon-Pyo, the Mayor of Daegu, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang expressed his pleasure at the visit made by the South Korean guest towards the 20^th founding anniversary of the Da Nang- Daegu friendships (2004-2024).

He remarked that the Viet Nam - South Korea cooperation relations has now been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, which will be the basis for Da Nang and Daegu to continue writing new, deeper and more effective cooperation chapters.

Secretary Quang hoped that the two cities will continue to tighten their friendship through cooperation activities in such aspects as training, investment, trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, as well as increase the exchange of visits by high-ranking delegations to learn about experience in construction and development.

For his part, Mayor Hong Joon-Pyo thanked the city leader for his warm welcome, highly appreciating the potentials and advantages of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.

The South Korean guest expressed his hope that the Da Nang - Daegu cooperation will be lifted to a new height in the coming time.

According to the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, over the past two decades, the exchange of visits by high-ranking delegations between Da Nang and Daegu has been enhanced. As a result, a handful of cooperation agreements in many fields between the two sides have been signed.
