City leader receives Deputy Mayor of Japan's Mimasaka City

During his meeting on Friday with Deputy Mayor of Japan's Mimasaka City Haruna Nobuaki, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh briefed him about the city’s socio-economic development achievements, and its potential and strengths as well.

The city leader highlighted that the reopening of the Da Nang - Narita air route from March 26 has created favourable conditions for Da Nang and Japanese partners to conduct investment, trade and tourism promotion, and cultural exchange activities.

He took the opportunity to ask the Japanese guest to promote and introduce images of Da Nang landscape and people to Mimasaka City’s citizens.

He also proposed the Mimasaka government and the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Mimasaka City strengthen coordination with the Viet Nam - Japan Friendship Association in Da Nang to organise programmes and activities for people of the two countries, thereby deepening the Viet Nam - Japan relationship.

Mr. Minh expressed his desire that Deputy Mayor Haruna Nobuaki would continue to act as a bridge to call on businesses and partners of Mimasaka city, and Japan as a whole, to visit and seek investment environment and opportunities on potential areas.

For his part, Deputy Mayor Haruna Nobuaki thanked the city leader for warmly welcoming the delegation and expressed his impression of the city’s beauty and outstanding development in recent years.

Deputy Mayor Haruna Nobuaki expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Da Nang to attend the ongoing Viet Nam - Japan Festival.

The Japanese guest said that the Aida Engineer Company based in Mimasaka City showed its keen interest in looking for investment opportunities in Da Nang in the near future. He, therefore, hoped that Da Nang and related units wouldl create favorable conditions for the company to invest effectively in the city.
