Mr. Thang briefed the guest on Da Nang’s achievements and front activities, saying that the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang has acted as an important bridge between the Party, government and people of the city.

He also revealed that Da Nang has established friendly and cooperative relationships with Shandong Province and Sichuan Province’s Chengdu City.

Notably, the Da Nang Department of Tourism already signed a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism development with the Dalian Tourism Bureau in Liaoning Province in 2016.

President Thang proposed that the implementation of tourism cooperation programmes on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding on tourism exchange and cooperation between the Da Nang Department of Tourism and the Dalian Tourism Bureau will be promoted in the near future.

In reply, Mr. Wang Mingyu expressed his impression on the beauty as well as the potential and advantages of Da Nang, especially the city’s green, clean and friendly tourism environment.

He introduced the structure and activities of the CPPCC of Liaoning, and the potential and socioeconomic strengths of the locality, stressing that there are potential areas for Da Nang and Liaoning to further foster cooperation, including services, tourism and seaports.

The Chinese visitor expressed his hope that the two localities, as well as their respective front agencies, would soon firm up these potentials in the time to come.
