Mr. Cuong informed his guest about the city’s development orientations to 2030 with a vision to 2045, with a concentration on developing three key areas including tourism and services; hi-tech industry; and logistics.

Also, Da Nang is considered an attractive tourist environment with many unique and impressive tourism products, along with many world-class hotels and resorts.

Among them, Japan’s Mikazuki Group is operating effectively in the city and it is a favourite place for many domestic and foreign tourists when visiting and travelling in Da Nang.

According to the Vice Chairman Cuong, the direct flight connection between Da Nang and Japanese localities after the COVID-19 pandemic has not yet met expectations.

Therefore, he took the opportunity to ask Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) and Da Nang International Airport (DAD) to accelerate the opening of direct flights to facilitate for people of Da Nang and Nagayo to travel and exchange, hereby contributing to promoting economic development and strengthening friendly relations between the two localities.

For his part, Japanese Mayor Takashi Kawamura expressed his great impression with Da Nang's rapid growth in terms of economy, infrastructure and tourism environment.

He hoped that the Da Nang government will propose Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air to soon operate direct flights between the two cities.

Aside from tourism, Mr. Takashi Kawamura expressed his wish to cooperate with Da Nang in the fields of aircraft manufacturing and high technology.
