Receiving Mr. Mori Takero, the newly-accredited Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, on Wednesday, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang expressed his delight at the good and cordial relationship between Da Nang and Japanese localities and businesses, and the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang for many years.

He highlighted the vital role of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang in connecting and introducing Japanese localities and businesses to the city. He pledged that the municipal authorities will actively support the Consulate General of Japan, and Mr. Mori Takero, to perform all assigned tasks well.

Secretary Quang hoped that the Japanese diplomat in his new position will continue to act as a bridge to promote friendship and cooperation between the two sides, as well as call for many Japanese investors to learn about and invest in Da Nang in various fields such as hi-tech, semiconductor, tourism and seaports.

In reply, Mr. Mori Takero thanked the local leader for his warm and sincere reception as well as the city's attention and coordination in organising cultural exchange activities to mark the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic relations (1973 - 2023).

In the coming time, the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang will host a number of practical activities to introduce and connect Japanese localities and businesses to Da Nang, thereby contributing to tightening the relationship between Viet Nam and Japan.
