Following a recent decision by the Da Nang authorities, local staff who become involved with returning beggars to their hometowns outside the city will receive an allowance of 100,000 VND each per day.

In addition, those who handle documents relating to beggars in the city will be granted 115,000 VND each, whilst those involved in the same work for mentally-ill people will receive 215,000 VND each.

A reward of 200,000 VND will also be given to anyone who reports beggars or people who are exploiting children and the disabled as street vendors to harass tourists in the city.
