3 new advanced medical devices put into use
On Thursday, a 128-slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner, and a 2-battery DSA were officially put into use at the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital. In attendance at the inauguration ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr Nguyen Viet Tien, and some of the leading professors in image diagnosis from Viet Nam and the USA.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tien praised the local health sector for its dynamism and creativity over recent years. He remarked that the use of these pieces of advanced medical equipment would bring the hospital on a par with the other large specialised hospitals countrywide.
He also took the opportunity to request that the hospital provides more training courses on the use the equipment for the hospital’s medical staff in order to ensure the efficiency of use of these devices and improve healthcare quality.
