Approval has been given by the Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho to establish the Organising Board for a design contest for a new tunnel under the Han River.

Director of the municipal Department of Transport, Mr Le Van Trung, is the Head of the Board.  Other members are Director of the municipal Construction Planning Institute Thai Ngoc Trung, and leaders from the departments of Construction, and Planning and Investment, and the Management Board of Traffic Project Investment and Construction.

The newly-established Board will be responsible for organising the contest as scheduled, and displaying contestants’ entries to collect public opinions before selecting the winner.
