In recent times there have been many reports about tourist leaflets which incorrectly use the terms ‘China Beach’ and ‘South China Sea’ to refer to beaches in Da Nang and the East Viet Nam Sea.  Such uses are serious violations of the national Publication Law which bans the use of false information about Viet Nam’s territorial sovereignty over its borders, sea and islands.

Following recent instructions from the city’s Department of Information and Communications, local accommodation establishments, travel agencies, tourist attractions, tourism service providers, printing and photocopying establishments, private bookstores and other facilities are banned from using or issuing documents which use these prohibited terms for their commercial purposes.

Local relevant agencies will increase their checks and the monitoring of the operation of the establishments mentioned above in order to detect and deal with the incorrect use of the prohibited terms.
