Health Information System in use at Hoa Vang District Medical Centre
On Tuesday, the Da Nang Branch of the Viet Nam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) officially entered into an agreement with the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre to supply its Health Information System (HIS) to the centre.
HIS was applied on a trial basis at the Hoa Vang District Medical Centre between 1 April and 1 July.
Under the newly-signed agreement, the local branch of VNPT will update the system’s new features in order to meet the latest standards of health check-ups and treatment as identified by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health. The centre will only have to pay HIS service fees, whilst all updating and maintenance costs will be free-of-charge.
HIS, which won a Vietnamese Talent Award last year, is a healthcare management system that helps tackle overcrowding in healthcare facilities.
With its development based on a cloud computing platform, the system aims to comprehensively promote the computerisation of the management work at health establishments nationwide. This will in turn help to further the efficiency of management activities at the system-applied establishments, and enhance the quality of healthcare check-ups and treatment for patients.
