In response to the appeal for donations through the Da Nang Newspaper, a further 100 million VND has been donated to help 15-month-old boy Poloong Quoc Quan from the Co Tu ethnic minority group in Quang Nam Province’s Dong Giang District.  He is suffering from meningococcal septicaemia and has had to have both legs amputated below the knee.

The latest donation was raised by employees of the city-based Bac Nam 79 Construction JSC.  A representative from the company hopes that their money will help to partly cover the cost of Quan’s subsequent medical treatment.

As of 20 May, a total of 157 million VND has been donated to the boy from nationwide generous donors through the newspaper.

Currently, Quan is still being treated at the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.

Further donations are still needed and can be sent to the Da Nang Newspaper, 6 Tran Phu, Da Nang (Phone: 0236 3812341 and 0905832222) or to his mother C’lau roy (Phone: 01629227861).
