More aid for flood-affected residents
On Monday and Tuesday, representatives from the Da Nang Youth Union presented over 180 million VND in cash, plus 360 packages of notebooks, 300kg of rice and 30 cartons of instant noodles to poor pupils and social policy beneficiaries in the provinces of Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen.

These central regional localities were hit hard by the recent flooding caused by typhoon Damrey which swept through central Viet Nam early this month.
The donated items had been collected from the municipal Youth Union member units.
In detail, 30 scholarships, with each containing 2 packages of notebooks and 1 million VND in cash, were given to poor pupils in Quang Ngai Province’s Binh Son District.
Another 20 scholarships went to needy pupils in Binh Dinh Province’s Phu Cat District whilst 30 gifts valued at 1 million VND each, were presented to social policy families there.
In addition, 40 scholarships in total were given to needy pupils in Song Cau Town and Phu Hoa District in Phu Yen Province whilst a total of 30 gifts worth 2 million VND each, went to social policy families in these localities.
