At 9.45pm on 21 November, Mr Luong took a local woman from 48 Yen Bai to the Ruman Bistro at the intersection of Bach Dang and Nguyen Du streets. After dropping the passenger at the Bistro, Mr Luong found a plastic bag in his taxi which contained 200 million VND in cash. He immediately contacted his passenger, and returned the missing property to her on the same day.
The company also honoured and rewarded the driver for his honesty as he returned the large amount to its owner.
Over recent years, many local taxi drivers have done good deeds as Mr Luong. Each of local taxi drivers is considered to be a tourism ambassador for Da Nang in advertising the beautiful images of their companies, and the city’s tourism sector as a whole, to international friends.
