New policies take effects from 1 January
Following the resolutions adopted at the recent 6th session of the Da Nang People’s Council in its 9th tenure of the 2016 - 2021 term, new policies began taking effect on 1 January as bellows:
Along Bach Dang and Tran Phu streets, a parking fee for under 16-seat vehicles and under-2.5 tonne trucks is 15,000 VND per each vehicle. Meanwhile, 20,000 VND is collected for over 16-seat vehicles and trucks of between 2.5 and 3.5 tonnes, and 30,000 VND for over 30-seater vehicles and over 3,5-tonne trucks.
Especially, fire engines, ambulances and other specialised vehicles, all of which are on official duty in accordance with the national laws, are exempt from new parking charges.
In addition, the maximum admission fee to the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture is now 60,000 VND per person. However, people aged 60 and above, and the disabled, are allowed to pay only 30,000 VND, whilst just 10,000 VND is collected from each college and university student. In particular, people aged under 18 and those with serious disabilities all enjoy free admission. Notably, 60% of the total money collected from ticket sales will go to cover the costs of preserving, repairing, restoring and managing the artifacts on display, and other related tasks.
Moreover, the city budget now funds health insurance for local militia forces, guards at residential quarters, and village-level police officers.
With regard to monthly rubbish collection service costs, 15,000 VND is collected from each family living at collective houses, apartment buildings and rented accommodations, whilst the owner of each house in alleys and those with facades onto streets are required to pay 25,000 VND and 30,000 VND respectively.
Meanwhile, a monthly charge of between 45,000 VND and 50,000 VND is collected from each family-owned business in alleys, and between 80,000 VND and 100,000 VND is paid by similar ones with street fronts.
