He asked construction units to make even greater efforts to accelerate the construction progress of the centre. He also urged relevant agencies to ensure that hospital beds and medical machines will be available at the new centre in order to put it into operation on 31 October as scheduled.
According to the Management Board of the city’s Infrastructure Construction and Urban Development Projects, the project’s basic construction has to date already been completed, and some necessary equipment has been installed.
However, the soon-to-be-opened centre is facing a shortage of 20 imported hospital beds, whilst electric generators have yet to be imported.
In addition, medical machines have yet to be transported from the Da Nang General Hospital to the centre.
Tomorrow, the Hai Chau District People’s Committee will hand over premises to the construction units for building lobby connecting between the hospital and the centre.
