6 billion VND for traffic rearrangement at western end of Rong Bridge
Following recent approval by the Da Nang authorities, a total of 6 billion VND from the city’s funds will be spent on re-arranging the traffic at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.
In particular, 3-phase signal systems will be installed at the busy junctions west of the Bridge.
A section of Nguyen Van Linh between its intersections with Le Dinh Duong and Bach Dang streets will have road surface widened, whilst separating strips will be lengthened.
A dedicated right turning lane will be arranged at the intersection of Nguyen Van Linh and Trung Nu Vuong streets in order to allow road users to turn right without slowing down or impeding traffic behind them. No vehicles will be allowed to stop and park near the area.
Besides, the focus will be on widening a section of Tran Phu between its intersections with Hoang Van Thu and Le Dinh Duong, and narrowing the pavements along the section.
A dedicated area will be earmarked in front of stop lines on Tran Phu and 2 September streets in order for motorcycles and rudimentary vehicles to wait at red lights, and have priority to go first when the light changes to green.
A section of Trung Nu Vuong between its intersections with Nguyen Van Linh and a road behind the Museum of Cham Sculpture will be switched to one-way traffic.
