According to the Da Nang Statistics Bureau, the city’s population has risen by 250,000 over the past decade to reach 1,134,310 at 00:00 on 1 April, 2019, of whom 576,000 are male and over 558,000 are female. 

The municipal Statistics Bureau demands that all local agencies and organisations record the aforementioned figure in their documents when mentioning the city’s population.

Notably, it should be clearly stated “the population data at the time of 00:00 on 1 April, 2019”, in accordance with the final results of the 2019 National Population and Housing Census.

The city’s population density is now 883 people per sq, with an average of 3.6 people per household.

It was recently reported that Viet Nam’s population rose by 10 million to 96.2 million as of April 2019 compared to 10 years prior, making Viet Nam the third populous nation in Southeast Asia and 15th in the world.
