The mother Chi said this was the amount of money which was given by her relatives on Lunar New Year festivals. She hoped that her donations would make a small contribution to support frontline healthcare workers in the city in the battle against the disease.
Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Chairwoman of the Thanh Binh Ward Fatherland Front Committee in Hai Chau District, could not hide her emotions when receiving the donations from the heroic Vietnamese mother.
Chairwoman Huong thanked the mother for her generosity and moral support to the city authorities amid the coronavirus outbreak. She added the mother's donations would be used to purchase more medical equipment for the Hai Chau District-based Medical Centre.
