The Da Nang government has announced that the city will extend the suspension of public transport services in the city until further notice as part of preventive measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The suspension has been imposed on fixed-route coaches, subsidised intra-city and inter-provincial buses, taxis, contract cars, tourist coaches, transit cars, passenger coaches, and cargo carriers.

However, vehicles which are used to transport food, essential goods, and materials for production activities, are allowed to operate.

Also, shuttle buses carrying workers are permitted to operate, but they are required to carry half of their designed capacity, with no more than 20 passengers at a time. All passengers must wear face masks and keep a 2m distance away from others.

Besides, the city has suspended all inland waterway passenger services.
