Localities in the mid-central region from Quang Binh and Quang Ngai, including Da Nang, will be battered by heavy rain and thunderstorms from 7 - 9 April, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has warned.

Forecasters explained that the continental cold high pressure associated with developing southern low pressure air will result in wet weather for these localities.

Also, thunder, lightning, and even hailstones are expected to affect large parts of the mid-central region in the late afternoon and evening in the next few days.
