Director Thanh said the Bach Mai Hospital, one of the nation’s largest medical centres, has been locked down after the nation's biggest cluster of cases was linked to the facility.

After the Ha Noi government locked down the Bach Mai Hospital, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has urged authorities of cities and provinces nationwide to track down people who have visited the hospital since March 10 and put them into quarantine to monitor their health.

As a result, a total of 18 residents of Da Nang have been placed in isolation for having visited the Bach Mai Hospital from 10 - 26 March. They are patients who came to the hospital for medical check-ups and treatment, their carers, and healthcare workers who attended training courses at the hospital during that period.

Tests on all these people in Da Nang linked to the Bach Mai Hospital cluster have come back negative for the virus, but they remain in quarantine in the city to monitor their health .

“Till date, no new suspected cases of coronavirus linked to now-closed Buddha Bar&Grill in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Islamic Festival held in the Sri Petaling mosque in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, have been reported in the city”, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Health Nguyen Tien Hong remarked.
