Active assistance for travellers stranded in Da Nang due to coronavirus pandemic
Many domestic and foreign travellers have been stuck in Da Nang as the city battles the coronavirus and is imposing new tight social distancing measures in an effort to stop the coronavirus spreading.

The closures of some accommodation establishments, the suspension of flights to and from Da Nang, and the practice of social distancing are as part of efforts to contain the pandemic in the city. Therefore, there are a lot of domestic and foreign tourists stranded in Da Nang due to the coronavirus pandemic .
Travel agencies and hotels across the city have been wholeheartedly supporting tourists during the difficult period by returning their deposits, or finding other accommodation for their stuck guests during their stay in the city.
Most recently, Da Nang’s tourism industry has been showing signs of recovery after the city launched its 2020 tourism stimulus programme themed ‘Da Nang Thank You 2020' in late May.
Like other hotels in Da Nang, the Bien Vang Hotel, set on Pham Van Dong Street, have received lots of reservations for stays until mid-September.
However, over the past few days, when a new wave of coronavirus cases has reported in Da Nang, the hotel’s staff have actively contacted their guests who had made hotel bookings in advance to ask them if they'd like to refund their deposits or move their bookings to future days.
CEO of the Bien Vang Hotel Nguyen Thi My Trinh said her hotel has already refunded more than 200 million VND in deposits for its guests. Also, visitors who has get stuck with the hotel will enjoy discount room rates.
Similarly, Ms Tran Thi Be, CEO of the Maison Phuong Hotel on Ha Bong Street, said her hotel’s staff has given great care and support for stranded tourists during their stay in the city. This will help tourists feel safe and secure when they’re stuck in Da Nang.
In addition to refunding the deposits for guests, such hotels as Bien Vang on Pham Van Dong Street, Thanh Ha on Duong Dinh Nghe Street, Vitalis Riverside on Tran Hung Dao Street, and Ken on Ho Xuan Huong Street are still open to welcome stranded guests in the city. These hotels are providing accommodation for them during the 15-day social distancing period at very preferential prices ranging between 200,000 VND and 300,000 VND/ night / room for 2 people.
Mr Ho Thanh Tu, General Secretary of the Da Nang Tourism Association, said, as of noon on 28 July, about 6 hotels, mainly in Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts, with about 200 rooms in total, have registered to provide free accommodation for guests stuck in the city. As of 28 July, there have been more than 300 domestic and foreign travellers stuck in Da Nang.
