Detailed itineraries of 11 new coronavirus patients in Da Nang revealed

On Monday evening, the Da Nang Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control revealed detailed itineraries of 11 new coronavirus patients, numbered ‘421’ to ‘431’, in the city. All of them are being treated at the Da Nang General Hospital.

Patient No 421

In the mornings of 20 to 23 July, the male patient had breakfast at the Limousine Cafe at 419 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street in Hai Chau District’s Thanh Binh Ward.

On 23 July afternoon, he visited the Demen Coffee House at 89 Nguyen Trac Street in Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Bac Ward. After that, he went for stroll along Nhu Nguyet Street in Hai Chau District’s Thuan Phuoc Ward. In the evening of the same day, the man started to show the symptom of dry cough.

On 24 July, he visited the Highlands Coffee at 203 Ong Ich Khiem Street in Thanh Khe District’s Tan Chinh Ward.

On 25 July morning, he ate breakfast at a sidewalk eatery opposite a house at 40 Dinh Tien Hoang Street in Hai Chau District’s Thanh Binh Ward.

On 25 and 26 July, he had his throat swabs and blood serum samples were taken to test for the virus. As a result, his test results came back positive on 27 July.

Patient No 422

On 10 July, the man was admitted to the Interventional Cardiovascular Department at the Da Nang General Hospital, and stayed in the same room with mother of Viet Nam's patient No 416.

In the evenings of 18 and 19 July, the man attended parties with his sibling and son-in-law at his home in Lien Chieu Distrcits’ Hoa Minh Ward after being discharged from the hospital.

On 20 July, he revisited the Interventional Cardiovascular Department.

On 23 July, he started to experience such symptoms as high fever and cough.

On 25 July, he had his oropharyngeal swabs taken for the virus.

Also on weekend nights, he often visited the Ngoc Quang Church in Hai Chau District’s Thuan Phuoc Ward. In addition, he often drank coffee at the Loan coffee shop on Nguyen Huy Tu Street in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward, as well as ate ‘bun bo’ (beef rice vermicelli) at Mrs Thinh's eatery in Hoa Minh Ward.

Patient No 423

In the mornings of 20 to 25 July, the woman had breakfast at home, as well as visited a pavement eatery opposite a house at 152 Le Duan Street and a night market also on the street.

During that period, she had lunch and dinner at home and at the Da Nang General Hospital.

On 24 July, she had close contact with the 416th patient, the first case ended Viet Nam's 99-day streak of having no community transmission cases of coronavirus, for about 3 minutes.

On 26 July, the woman was tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Patient No 424

In the mornings of 20 to 25 July, the female patient had breakfast at a sidewalk eatery near the Le Quang Sung Primary School and at an eatery at 265 Hai Phong Street in Thanh Khe District’s Tan Chinh Ward. Meanwhile, she had lunch and dinner at home and at the Da Nang General Hospital.

During that period, she bought food on the pavement of 46 Dien Bien Phu Street in Thanh Khe District’s Chinh Gian Ward.

On 22 July, the woman started showing symptoms of Covid-19, including fever, and cough but she did not go to hospital for medical examinations.

On 26 July, she tested positive for the virus.

Patient No 425

On 23 July, the female nurse had close contact with the 418th patient at the Da Nang General Hospital.

On 23 July evening, she went home in Dien Hoa Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.

On 24 July morning, the patient worked at the hospital’s Intensive Care Department, and she visited her co-worker’s house on Tran Cao Van Street at noon.

In the afternoon and evening of the same day, she visited the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, and had dinner at the Cua Bien Restaurant at 112 Vo Nguyen Giap Street, both in Son Tra District.

On 25 July afternoon, she returned to the Da Nang General Hospital to work after having lunch at the Cong Doan Hotel at 2 Ong Ich Khiem.

On July 26, she had her oropharyngeal swabs taken to test, and her test results came back positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Patient No 426

On 17 July evening, the woman went to the Da Nang General Hospital for medical examinations after suffering from shortness of breath and fatigue for a long time.

On 26 July, the woman showed the most common symptoms at onset of COVID-19 including cough and shortness of breath, and she then tested positive for coronavirus.

On 27 July afternoon, the female patient was treated at the hospital’s Urological and Kidney Department.

Over the past 14 days, the female patient was only at home and treated at the Urological and Kidney Department.

Patient No 427

The male patient was diagnosed with renal failure 4 months ago.

Since 2 July, he has been treated at the Department of Nephrology-Endocrinology of the Da Nang General Hospital.

On 24 July, the man showed the most common symptoms at onset of COVID-19 including cough, fever and shortness of breath. He was then tested positive for the coronavirus on 27 July.

During his hospital stay from 9 July, he was taken care of by his wife.

Patient No 428

Since 9 July, the male patient has been treated at the Department of Nephrology and Urology of the Da Nang General Hospital.

On 26 July, he had his oropharyngeal swabs taken for the virus, and his test results came back positive for the virus.

Patient No 429

The female patient is suffering from chronic renal failure in stage 5.

On 14 July, she developed cough and white sputum, and felt very tired.  

Two days later, she was admitted to the Da Nang General Hospital. Since then, she has been treated at the hospital’s The Department of Nephrology and Urology.

On July 26, the woman tested positive for the virus.

Patient No 430

Since 23 June, the female patient has been treated at the Da Nang General Hospital.

On 27 July afternoon, the patient was placed in isolation at the hospital’s Department of Nephrology and Urology after being tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Patient No 431

From 11 to 23 July, the man stayed in the same patient room with the mother of the patient No 416 at the Interventional Cardiovascular Department at the Da Nang General Hospital. He was discharged from the hospital on 23 July.

On 24 July, the patient had periodic haemodialysis treatment at the hospital’s Artificial Nephrology Department.

On 26 July afternoon, he went to the Lien Chieu District-based medical centre for medical checkups after developing symptoms of shortness of breath and tiredness, and then he was transferred to the Da Nang General Hospital on the same day. He then tested positive for the virus.
