Dr Nhan confirmed that the health conditions of the two patients have gradually improved, and they have no fever and improvement in respiratory symptoms. The 416th patient in Viet Nam may not need support from the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine following positive signs of recovery in the days to come.

Viet Nam's patient No 416 is a 57-year-old male resident of Lien Chieu District. He was the first community transmission case of coronavirus in Viet Nam that ended the 99-day community transmission free streak in Viet Nam on 25 July.

He was diagnosed with Covid-19 and treated at the Da Nang C Hospital from 20 to 24 July. At 9.30 am on 24 July, he was transferred to the Da Nang General Hospital after being classified as a suspected of having coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old male resident of Hai Chau District's Thanh Binh Ward became Viet Nam's 418th patient to be diagnosed with coronavirus in Viet Nam on 26 July.

The man has many underlying diseases, including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart failure, and respiratory failure. However, he now doesnot need to stay on ECMO.
