The Ngo May Primary School, based in Son Tra District, has donated essential supplies to frontline medical workers in the Da Nang General Hospital and the C Hospital.
Headmistress of the Ngo May Primary School Tran Thi Minh Nga said that she hopes her school's donations will make a small contribution to support Da Nang's frontline healthcare workers in the battle against the virus.
Besides, teachers at the 19 May Preschool in Hai Chau District have made 3,000 face shields for frontline medical workers in the Da Nang General and C hospitals.
Also, they have offered basic necessities, for example food and drinking water, to medical workers and patients in the two hospitals.
The Hai Chau District-based Le Quy Don Primary School has donated 50 boxes of drinking water and 200 ‘banh chung’ cakes (square glutinous rice cakes), plus bananas, dried cakes, bottles of soy sauce, and antibacterial soap bars, for medical workers in the 3 hospitals placed under lockdown.
Mrs Ngo Thi Le, Headmistress of Le Quy Don School, said her school will provide 200 ‘banh chung’ cakes to frontline healthcare workers every day.
The Nui Thanh and Le Lai primary schools, both in Hai Chau District, have called on their staff and generous donors citywide to give material donations to front liners and security personnel who are staffing checkpoints in Da Nang.
