On Wednesday afternoon, 6 military trucks, plus hundreds of military officers and men, from the 683 Brigade under the General Department of Logistics of the Ministry of Defence, carried medical supplies and essentials from the Kim Lien cargo railway station in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Hiep Bac Ward to Da Nang to help the city fight against Covid-19.

The medical supplies, including 5 million triple layer face masks, 90,000 N95 face mask respirators and 40 coronavirus protective suits, were sent to Da Nang from Ho Chi Minh City as per the Ministry of Health's resquest in an effort to support Da Nang in its fight against coronavirus.

As of 12 August, Da Nang has received over 8,700 tonnes of essentials and medical supplies from thousands of military truck arrivals from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Of this figures, military officers and men from the 683 Brigade has transported a total of 130 tonnes of essentials till date.
