The one-day Japanese Job Fair 2020 was jointly held online on Friday by the Da Nang-based Dong A University and Japanese businesses.

The virtual event attracted the participation of more than 30 Japanese businesses and a total of over 400 students from the university. As a result, 282 students were recruited by the participating companies.

As of September, a total of about 1,400 Dong A students who possess a high proficiency in foreign languages have been recruited by foreign enterprises across the world. An average monthly salary of 1,500 US$ is now offered to those participating in internships aboard, whilst graduates are paid higher with 2,200-2,500 US$.

It is expected that, from 2021 onwards, each year, 800-1,000 students from this university will either participate in international exchanges programmes or be sent to such foreign countries as Japan, Germany, Singapore and South Korea for work.
