The Da Nang Department of Health reported 8 coronavirus recovered on Thursday, bringing the total to 247 recoveries since a second wave of Covid-19 infections hit Da Nang late last month.

Eight more Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the Hoa Vang Field Hospital and the Lung Hospital after three to four consecutive negative results at least 24 hours apart as per the Health Ministry’s guidelines.

Of the cured patients, 7 were discharged from these hospitals. All of them have made a full recuperation from the deadly pathogen as they show overall stable status, vital signs, normal organ function and improved chest X-ray readings.

Upon their hospital discharge, these recovered people must undergo a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine period at their places of residence, as a means of ensuring there is no possibility of the virus recurring or being transmitted among the wider community.

Meanwhile, in spite of his all-clear from the virus, the remaining patient is being treated in the Hoa Vang Field Hospital for his regular dialysis due to his kidney failure.

Currently, the remaining 96 patients are still receiving treatment in the Hoa Vang Field Hospital and the Lung Hospital. In particular, given their reception of intensive care and life-saving treatment, seriously ill patients are making health improvements.
