The already-cured patient, who hails from neighbouring Quang Nam Province, was discharged from the hospital after she had made her full recuperation from the deadly pathogen as they show overall stable status, vital signs, normal organ function and improved chest X-ray readings.
The discharged woman is now undergoing a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine period upon her hospital discharge at her place of residence, as a means of ensuring there is no possibility of the virus recurring or being transmitted among the wider community.
According to Doctor Le Thanh Phuc, the Hospital’s Director, since Da Nang braced for the second wave of the coronavirus outbreak in late July, a total of 116 patients treated at this medical establishment have been declared clear of the deadly virus.
In the coming time, the hospital will be cleaned and disinfected to as soon as possible so that it can come back on stream in admitting non-Covid-19 patients from the city and elsewhere in the country for health checks and treatment.
For the time being, the remaining 4 patients recorded in Da Nang so far are still receiving treatment in the Hoa Vang Field Hospital located in the namesake suburb district, and all of them are expected to make hospital discharges in the coming days.
