Da Nang imposes mandatory quarantine for new arrivals from the USA
All arrivals to Da Nang from the USA on Vietnam Airlines flight VN431 are undergoing a mandatory 14-day quarantine in local designated sites, Director of the municipal Department of Health Ngo Thi Kim Yen said on 24 October.
The plane carrying 271 passengers from the USA touched down at Da Nang International Airport on 23 October.
All passengers travelling on the flight had their health checked, and they were required to complete their health declaration. All arrivals were quarantined in local designated sites after entering Da Nang.
They are in the 14-day isolation period in the Thi Boutique Villa, Sam Grand Hotel and Golden Rose 3 Hote, all in Son Tra District, plus in the Hemera Boutique and Pandora Boutique, both in Ngu Hanh Son District.
All passengers and flight crews had their swab and blood serum samples taken for coronavirus testing after they were quarantined in Da Nang-based isolation facilities on 23 October.
Till date, tests for Covid-19 on 74 arrivals under isolation at the Golden Rose 3 Hotel have come back negative, whilst the remainder are waiting for their Covid-19 test results.
Given the positive fact that Da Nang has gone 57 straight days without recording a new local community transmission infection of Covid-19 as of 24 October.
