343 Vietnamese passengers from Taiwan land in Da Nang in two flights
A combined total of 343 Vietnamese passengers landed in Da Nang in two flights from Taiwan (China) on Monday, and none of them has been found symptomatic so far, a Da Nang health ofiicial said.
The flights BL141 and BL1163 operated by Pacific Airlines touched down at Da Nang International Airport at 4.40pm and 5.15pm on 28 December respectively.
All passengers and crew members received medical check-ups, and they were sent to a hotel in Son Tra District for the mandatory quarantine following Viet Nam's national regulations after entering Da Nang. They will have their swab and blood serum samples taken for coronavirus testing soon.
Vietnamese returnees were those who are under 18, seniors, ill persons, and students who completed their courses but lacked accommodation due to dormitory closures, and others with extremely difficult circumstances.
In-flight safety and preventive measures against the Covid-19 pandemic were rigorously enforced to protect the passengers’ health and prevent the spread of the disease. All of the passengers had their health checked before boarding, wore face masks throughout the flight and submitted their health declarations.
Also, the aircraft, the entire passenger cabin, cockpit and cargo storage area were disinfected after landing.
