The Da Nang Power Company (PC) has assured that there will be no power cuts in Da Nang from 4 to 16 February - the period encompassing the upcoming Tet Festival, which begins on 12 February, except for cases under which power must be cut off for troubleshooting or as required.
Da Nang PC has strengthened the implementation of cleaning and maintenance of the power grid to ensure smooth electricity supplies during Tet |
Electricity consumption across the city during Tet 2021 is expected to go up by 5% compared to last year. Da Nang PC is striving to make sure that there will be sufficient and stable electricity supplies over the festive period.
Focus has been on conducting the periodic testing of equipment on transmission lines and transformer stations, fulfilling cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of transformers, preventing the overloading of transmission lines and transformers, and strengthening the inspection and consolidation of power grids.
In particular, heed will also be paid to securing electricity supplies to three locales designated for 15-minute fireworks shows to celebrate the arrival of Lunar New Year 2021. They are on the Nguyen Van Troi pedestrian bridge, the Phuong Trang vacant land area in front of the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre, and a vacant site in front of the Hoa Vang District Administrative Centre.
