Da Nang conducts COVID-19 testing on policemen linked to new positive case in Ha Nam Province
A total of 39 officers and men from the Police Task Force battalion No. 3, under the Mobile Police Command, the Ministry of Public Security, on Friday, had their throat and nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing at the Da Nang-based 199 Hospital.

They were onboard a passenger coach with the plate number 43B - 048.78 travelling on the Da Nang – Ha Noi route on the evening of April 21. Amongst the passengers was a 28-year-old man from the northern province of Ha Nam, coded patient No.2,899, who tested positive for the virus on April 28 after finishing 14 days of mandatory quarantine in Da Nang.
The man landed in Da Nang on board flight VJ3613 from Japan on April 7 and was put under quarantine upon entry.
The patient finished his 14-day quarantine period on April 21 after having tested negative for the novel coronavirus thrice.
He left Da Nang on April 21 and came home in Ha Nam on April 22.
After returning home from the mandatory quarantine period, he developed a fever and sore throat, and was taken to a local clinic for a COVID-19 test on April 28. The result returned positive.
