Negative test results for 28 Da Nang close contacts of new COVID-19 case in Ha Nam Province
Twenty-eight Da Nang people who have been in close contact with recently-detected COVID-19 patient in Ha Nam Province has tested negative once for coronavirus, doctor Ton That Thanh, Director of the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control announced on Friday.

The close contacts of this man included staff members working for a local hotel where the patient observed his 14-day mandatory quarantine, and hotel dwellers, drivers and their assistants, and passengers.
All of the 28 people are now under quarantine, and all of them will have their throat and nasal swab samples taken for further COVID-19 testing for 14 days after their last exposure to the COVID-19 patient.
The coronavirus-infected man from the northern province of Ha Nam, coded patient No.2,899, tested positive for the virus on April 28 after finishing 14 days of mandatory quarantine in Da Nang.
The man landed in Da Nang on board flight VJ3613 from Japan on April 7, and was put under quarantine upon entry.
He finished his 14-day quarantine period on April 21 after having tested negative for the novel coronavirus thrice.
He left Da Nang on April 21 and came home in Ha Nam on April 22.
After returning home from the mandatory quarantine period, he developed a fever and sore throat and was taken to a local clinic for a COVID-19 test on April 28. The result returned positive.
