Police officers in Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, through their regular patrols on Tuesday, arrested a 33-year-old Vietnamese man for illegally entering into Viet Nam.

The man, a resident of Tan Hai Commune, Hai Hau District, Nam Dinh Province, had stayed in Laos from October 20, 2020 before he illegally entered Viet Nam on April 29.

Functional local forces have already taken him from Hoa Bac Commune medical station to a Lien Chieu District - based dormitory in the western part of the city for mandatory quarantine.

Amid the globally complicated COVID-19 crisis, Da Nang and other nationwide localities are now paid special heed to detecting and handling any illegal border jumpers possibly bringing the deadly coronavirus into Viet Nam. Anyone granted entry is required to undergo compulsory quarantine upon arrival.
