Authorities in all districts across Da Nang have dealt with dozens of people for breaking the city’s COVID-19 rules from May 4 -7, the  Da Nang steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said on Saturday morning.

Over the past 3 days, fines of up to VND 100 million have been imposed on people who fail to wear face masks in public, breaking social-distancing rules, fail to obey a ban on seated food and drink service, break mandatory quarantine regulations, and share false information about the COVID-19 pandemic online which exploit public fear and uncertainty around the pandemic.

In addition, functional forces have increased beach patrols to help monitor COVID-19 violations, and raised awareness of preventive measures among the general public to protect themselves and others.

Da Nang has the strictest penalties in place for those who fail to adhere to social distancing measures and face mask regulations.
