On Friday morning, inspectors from the Tho Quang ward People's Committee conducted inspection visits to beach seafood markets from the south of Son Tra Peninsula to Man Thai Ward. Fishermen and traders in these venues were asked to reduce their trading hours. They are only allowed to operate between 4:00am and 6:00 am, and are required maintain physical distance when trading.
Also in the early morning hours, inspectors broke up seafood sellers in spontaneous street markets along the coastal Hoang Sa route in a bid to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by following the restrictions for public gatherings. In addition, functional forces increased their patrols to ask people who gathered for doing outdoor exercise and sports to return home.
In particular, staff at checkpoints are working around the clock to control the entry of Da Nang citizens into Son Tra Peninsula, and only authorized workers are allowed to enter this venue. Outdoor gatherings for physical and sport activities are banned on the Son Tra Peninsula.
In a similar move, 13 checkpoints have been set up across Hai Chau District while 10 others have been established in Cam Le District.
Besides, police officers have been given the power to impose the on-the-spot fines across the city for those who leave their house without a ‘reasonable excuse’.
