Da Nang logs one coronavirus case in managed isolation on Oct.3

Da Nang recorded only one new case of COVID-19 today, October 3, which was detected in a designated quarantine facility, the Da Nang Steering Board for COVID-19 Prevention and Control freshly confirmed. No new community transmission case was recorded.

The above-mentioned case was linked to the previously-detected COVID-19 infection chain in alley No. 90 Dong Da Street, Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District.

During the same day, 43,783 people had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, of whom 42,981 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to rapid antigen tests whilst entering the city through the city’s gateway checkpoints.

Currently, there are only 6 blockaded areas linked to previous COVID-19 cases, putting  307 households with a combined total of 1,002 residents under lockdown.

Till date, 52 out of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’ where neither community-acquired cases nor locked-down sites have been logged over the past 14 days as follow:

Hoa Vang District: the communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Chau and Hoa Son.

Son Tra District : the wards of An Hai Bac, Man Thai, An Hai Tay, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong, Tho Quang, and An Hai Dong.

Ngu Hanh Son District : the wards of Hoa Quy, Hoa Hai, My An and Khue My

Hai Chau District : the wards of Phuoc Ninh, Nam Duong, Hai Chau 1, Hoa Cuong Nam, Binh Hien, Hoa Thuan Dong, Hoa Thuan Tay, Hoa Cuong Bac, Thach Thang, Hai Chau 2, and Thanh Binh

Thanh Khe District: the wards of Hoa Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thac Gian, Chinh Gian, Xuan Ha, Thanh Khe Tay, Tan Chinh, Vinh Trung and Tam Thuan.

Cam Le District: the wards of Khue Trung, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Phat, Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Xuan and Hoa An

Lien Chieu District: the wards of Hoa Minh, Hoa Hiep Nam, Hoa Hiep Bac and Hoa Khanh Nam.

Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, 4,670 active cases have been documented citywide.
