Da Nang records one case of COVID-19 on Oct.25 found at entrance checkpoint
On Monday, October 25, Da Nang recorded one new case of COVID-19 which was found in managed isolation. Once again, no new community transmission cases were recorded today.
In detail, the only one case was a resident in Thanh Khe Tay Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang. He drove from coronavirus-stricken HCM City to Da Nang. He tested positive for the coronavirus via mandatory rapid antigen testing whilst passing through checkpoint C4 set up at the Da Nang gateway. He was confirmed to contract the virus after a confirmation test conducted by the RT-PCR technique.
Also on Monday, Da Nang handled 159 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in accordance with the regulations.
Currently, 35 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities whilst 1,049 others are self-quarantining at home.
The city now has 4 blockaded sites, putting 56 households with a combined total of 198 people under lockdown. Of them, 79 residents belonging to 18 sealed-off families are logged in Hai Chau District, whilst the rest are identified in Thanh Khe District.
A combined total of 388 people are put under compulsory quarantine in 14 centralised facilities.
Up to now, 1,000,608 out of the already received 1,007,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.
Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 854, 413 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 146,195 have got a full 2-dose course.
Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, its caseload tally has stayed at 4,704.
