The Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee has freshly issued Document No. 6877/HD-UBND on temporarily guiding travel to this province from provinces and cities nationwide and vice versa. On October 2, many people living in Da Nang flocked to quarantine checkpoints set up at the city’s gateways to seek way to the neighbouring province.

Under the rules set by the Quang Nam administration, experts and workers living in Da Nang entering Quang Nam for work and local residents wishing to come to this province for personal affairs must commit to travel on a fixed route, make medical declarations at the checkpoints, minimise contact with others, strictly implement the 5K rukes, and very importantly, have negative SARS-CoV-2 test results issued by competent authorities with validity within 72 hours.

With regard to those coming from Da Nang to Quang Nam for staying purposes, in addition to the above-mentioned measures, they must have the full 2-dose course of COVID-19 vaccines provided the last dose has been given at least 14 days and not more than 12 months compared to the arrival time, or have recovered from COVID-19 within 6 months if any.

However, many Da Nang people who are not fully aware of the above-mentioned requirements   arrived gateway checkpoints to leave for Quang Nam. As a result, their registration for entering the province was turned down by functional forces due to failure to submit negative SARS-CoV-2 test results issued by competent authorities with validity within 72 hours.

As noted, on Saturday morning at a checkpoint on National Highway 1A, Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District and another one on Tran Dai Nghia Street, Ngu Hanh Son District, many commuters were asked to return Da Nang.

The people must meet mandatory requirements to enter Quang Nam, especially the negative SARS-CoV-2 test results issued by competent authorities with validity within 72 hours.
