In line with the current regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control in Da Nang, all citizens arriving at work offices, restaurant, coffee shop, supermarkets and other places throughout the city must make e-medical declarations to be granted with eligible QR codes which are then scanned by functional forces.

In Da Nang, people can make e-medical declarations on the ‘Da Nang Smart City’ mobile app, the ‘Da Nang 1022 switchboard’ Zalo, or the website at https://khaibaoyte.danang.gov.vn.

Upon the completion of declarations, they will receive QR codes with each code being valid for three days. The functional forces on duty at places will scan these QR codes to know whether or not they are eligible to enter.

Apart from the use of the ‘Danang Smart City’ the software built by the municipal Department of Information and Communications, Da Nang residents are highly recommended to install the national unified COVID-19 prevention and control app PC-Covid app on their mobile phones.

PC-Covid, with full functions in both English and Vietnamese, is available on both iOS’ App Store and Android’s Google Play Store for smartphones.

It has been added with all functions of the previously-launched apps such as VHD, NCOVI and Bluezone, the previous contact tracing platform.

Notably, the PC-Covid provides the ‘COVID-19 card’ to users who have fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from this highly contagious disease, enabling them to travel and join social activities in the new normal.

Other remarkable functions of the PC-Covid include making health declarations, searching for COVID-19 vaccination information and testing results, supporting movement tracking, indicating a map of risks and providing news on overall COVID-19 prevention and control strategies.

In particular, a QR code included in the app acts as a single personal code used in all apps and platforms in services for COVID-19 prevention and control. Of course, all information, especially on vaccination against the deadly virus, available on ‘Danang Smart City’ is completed integrated into PC-Covid.

According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, confirmed that there are currently two ways to control all arrivals’ medical declaration through QR codes.

Forces on duty at large venues can use scanners or smart phones to in-person scan the QR codes of each arrival.

Meanwhile, a printed QR code is displayed visibly at some small and medium-sized restaurants, street eateries and cafes for customers to make e-medical declarations.

“It is acceptable to use both PC-Covid and ‘Danang Smart City’ apps, confirmed Deputy Director Thach.
