Widespread rains expected in Da Nang into Wednesday
The Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has warned that Da Nang could continue to witness light to moderate rainfall from Monday into Wednesday, November 24 with possibility of heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places due to the combined influence of cold air and easterly winds.
The total rainfall amount will be 80mm-150mm in common in Hoa Vang, Cam Le, Son Tra, and Ngu Hanh Son districts while more than 180mm of rain could fall in some places.
In addition, rainfall warnings have been issued for a widespread soaking rain that could dump as much as 60mm-120mm of rain Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe and Hai Chau districts, and even more than 150mm in some places.
From Tuesday night, a cold weather snap is predicted for Da Nang with temperatures expected to drop to 18-21 degrees Celsius.
By the coast they will see northeast winds at level 6 to 7 and the gusts as high as level at 8, and farther inland you could find strong winds at level 3 to 4, as well as experience rough seas with waves as high as 2-3 m.
The Hoang Sa waters will see gradually northeast increasing wind at level 6-7, and the gusts reaching level 8 to 9, and experience rough seas with waves as high as 2-4m.
