Following a recent direction made by the Da Nang Department of Transport, the city’s Road and Bridge Management JSC has worked with relevant agencies to implement temporary reinforcement measures and install rockfall and landslide warning signs along a section of Hoang Sa Street leading to the Son Tra Peninsula in order to ensure the safety of locals and tourists.

Additionally, the municipal Transport Infrastructure Management Centre is urged to deploy human resources and specialised vehicles to remove fallen rocks out of road surface to ensure traffic safety for road users. In the long term, the centre will conduct geological surveys and propose suitable solutions.

Most recently, rockfalls have frequently occurred along streets leading to the Son Tra Peninsula, causing very dangerous for road users.

According to the leaders of some functional units, the phenomenon of rockfalls on the Son Tra Peninsula in the summer season is unusual, and there is a possibility that it will continue to happen.
