The Da Nang People's Committee has issued a plan to implement the ‘Strategy for sustainable agricultural and rural development for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision towards 2050’.

Under the plan, the specific target is set that, by 2030, the average annual growth rate of agriculture in the 2021 - 2030 period will reach an average of 3 - 3.5%/year, with 2.5 - 3.0% set for 2021-2025 and 3.5 - 4.0 for 2026 - 2030.

Special attention will be paid to accelerating the programme of comprehensive new-style rural zone construction associated with urbanisation.

By 2025, 100% of the total communes will meet the enhanced new-style rural standards and the average rural population's income will be 3 times higher by 2030 than recorded in 2020.

At the request of the municipal administration, relevant local agencies must develop specific plans for the implementation of the above-mentioned objectives in accordance with local practical conditions.

In addition, the city will develop key programmes and projects suitable to its characteristics and strengths, prioritise the creation of key products and local specialities, develop concentrated agricultural production, pecialise in farming, and push up the value chains of agricultural products.
