The Da Nang Police Department on Tuesday kicked off a new operation of inspecting and handling violations of traffic safety and urban order throughout the city. The peak period is being implemented in 3 months, running from June 20 to the end of September 20.

Local police forces and other relevant units to mobilise maximum forces, vehicles and technical equipment so as to drastically and synchronously deploy professional measures to simultaneously patrol, inspect and handle violations of traffic safety and urban order, thereby helping reduce traffic accidents, preventing prolonged traffic jams and illegal racing city-wide.

In addition, raising public awareness of complying with traffic safety and urban order rules will be given an attention.

In particular, heed will be paid to strengthening the coordination between functional bodies to drastically and synchronously deploy professional measures, increase the frequency, scope and duration of patrol and control activities in a bid to prevent, detect and strictly handle acts that go against the regulations.

If party members, civil servants, public employees and officers from armed forces and functional forces violate the rules, in addition to sufferring administrative penalties, their violations will also be notified to their places of work for handling in line with the regulations.
