Police officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Team of the Lien Chieu District Police Division, on Thursday, seized thousands of products suspected of being smuggled.

At 9:00 am on Thursday, the Economic Crime Investigation Team coordinated with police in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Khanh Bac Ward to make an inspection visit to the warehouse of the city branch of the M.K Transport Co., Ltd. The Hoa Khanh Bac Ward-located warehouse is under the management by 42-year-old H.V.H.N.

During the inspection, many types of foreign-produced goods were discovered at the warehouse. In particular, there were 12 packages of cosmetics with 1,000 white bath powder products, shampoos, and facial cleansers of all kinds; 56 packages of aquarium accessories of all kinds with more than 4,000 such products as water purifiers, lights and oxygen blowers; and 55 packages of 80 welding machines and 25 air compressors of all kinds.

Meanwhile, the warehouse’s manager failed to show invoices or other related papers proving the legal origin of the goods. Therefore, the police force temporarily seized all of the above goods and made an administrative dossier for handling according to the city’s regulations.
