Joining hands to help children learn to swim safely
The Community Disaster Prevention Fund has launched the programme "Joining hands to help children learn to swim safely" at the Tran Nhan Tong Primary School, Cam Le District, Da Nang.
The programme aims to call on benefactors and social communities to join hands with the Fund to strive to complete the goal that, by the end of 2025, 200 more swimming pools with protective domes will have been built in primary schools and junior high schools in provinces and cities across Viet Nam, hereby contributing to reducing drowning accidents among children.
At the launching ceremony, about 20 sponsors committed to contribute a total of more than VND15 billion worth of aids to the Fund.
In Da Nang, more than 78% of the city’s primary schools and 40% of the junior high schools have built swimming pools till date.
