LPA in East Sea expected to grow stronger

The LPA was already located at latitude 19°5'N-20°5'N and longitude 116°5'E- 117°5'E, said NCHMF based on 1:00 a.m. observations.
The combined effects of the LPA and the southwest monsoon will bring strong showers and thunderstorms to the North, the middle and south of the East Sea (including the waters of the Truong Sa Islands), and the offshore areas stretching from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau during daytime and night hours on Tuesday, national weather forecasters have warned.
Thunderstorms can produce tornadoes, and strong winds at levels 7 to 8 in the warning areas, meteorologists at NCHMF said.
Under these conditions, the offshore area stretching from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau will see gradually increasing southwest wind at levels 5 to 6, and the gusts reaching levels 7 to 8, and experience rough seas with waves as high as 1.5m-2.5m.
The LPA is likely to continue bringing the threat of thundery rain over the East Sea in one or two days.
On Tuesday, isolated showers and thunderstorms during daytime are predicted in the parts from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue with scattered showers with thunderstorms expected during the late afternoon and evening hours. Maximum temperatures in these areas are expected to hover around 31-34 degrees Celsius, even above 34 degrees Celsius in some places while minimum temperature will be in the range of 21-27 degrees Celsius.
A few places in the parts from Da Nang to Binh Thuan will receive showers and thunderstorms during daytime with the chance of scattered showers with thunderstorms during late afternoon and evening hours over the region. Temperatures in these areas can expect lows of 24 to 27 degrees Celsius and highs of 31 to 34 degrees Celsius.
Today, the best chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in most parts of Central Highlands during late afternoon and evening hours while a few places in the region will see showers with thunder during daytime.
