100% of traffic police in Da Nang are being mobilised to be on duty along downtown streets to overcome the consequences of typhoon Noru, according to Mr. Nguyen Phung Hien, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Da Nang Department of Transport.
Accordingly, each team and group deploys plans to overcome consequences of the typhoon according to each situation and level of influence.
Local traffic inspectors keep a close eye on ensuring traffic safety, and proactively coordinating with functional forces and local authorities to control traffic and install warning signs on deeply-submerged and landslide-prone areas.
Importance is attached to resolutely banning people and vehicles from travelling to potential places of traffic accidents, and cleaning up fallen and uprooted trees.
