Da Nang youth join hands for meaningful projects
Da Nang youth, over the past time, have been implementing many meaningful projects, thereby demonstrating their creative and voluntary role and spreading the beautiful images of the youth in the construction and development of the city.

Most recently, 18 households living in groups 1 and 2 in Khuong My Village, Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District have been very excited at the concrete road in front of their houses being lit with electric lights. This has significantly contributed to ensuring security and order, and beautifying the new civilised and modern rural landscape.
According to Secretary of Hoa Phong Commune chapter of the Da Nang Youth Union Nguyen Van Sy, the light installation project in Khuong My Village has a total length of 850m with 25 sets of 50W light bulbs. The VND300 million project is carried out by the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Government Department and Agency Bloc. The project has contributed to ensuring traffic safety and improving the spiritual life of local villagers.
According to Secretary of the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Government Department and Agency Bloc Bui Thien Vy, over the past time, his unit has carried out many meaningful projects and tasks, demonstrating the role of the youth in the construction and development of the city.
Recently, the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Government Department and Agency Bloc has built an outdoor playground for children in Hoa Trung Village, Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District, with a total cost of VND100 million.
In addition, the organisation in collaboration with the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks, have donated VND10 million to the Hermann Gmeiner High School to repair toilets, hand over the RO drinking water purifier, worth VND50 million, to the Hoa Vang District-based Lam Quang Thu Primary School, and grant 50 scholarships totalling VND50 million to poor studious pupils in Hoa Vang District.
The total value of the abovementioned youth projects is more than VND500 million which is contributed by Youth Union members in the bloc.
Meanwhile, the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Department of Police has been active in building youth projects in many localities.
Included are the repair of toilets and play area at the Village of Hope at a total cost of VND80 million, the ‘Reading corner for children’ project at the Cam Le District-based Dien Hong Primary School, and the installation of lighting systems at the Martyrs’ Cemeteries in Hoa Minh Ward and Hoa Hiep Nam Ward in Lien Chieu District at the total cost of VND280 million.
Currently, the municipal Youth Union and its chapters at grassroots level are actively getting involved in constructing playing areas for children in public places citywide. The purpose is to contribute to creating a friendly and meaningful living space for young people, and raising public awareness about environmental protection.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thao, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Youth Union, every year, up to now, the city youth have set up 60 entertainment areas for young people, with a total cost of more than VND5.5 billion. The projects have contributed to creating a clean and beautiful space for local residents and children to play and live in the city.
